- The merger of the academic teachings in implantology of the Caribbean Institute of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Implantology (Trinidad) and the Dental Institute of the Caribbean (Jamaica) lead to the creation and registration of the International Postgraduate Medical College. The three institutions were founded by Dr. Christopher Ogunsalu.
- A great input came from Dr. Kenneth Judy of ICOI and his Co-Chairman, Dr Carl Misch in terms of financial assistance and educational support and registration by the Jamaican Tertiary Education Commission.
